About

• Doug Sahm was a musician from Texas. Born in San Antonio, Texas, he was a child prodigy in country music, but became a significant figure in blues, rock and other genres. Today Sahm is considered one of the most important figures in Tejano music. He was the founder and leader of the 1960s rock and roll band the Sir Douglas Quintet, and later The Texas Tornados, and was also in the Los Super Seven super group
