Artwork description
This special lithograph of Harley Redin is part of the Texas Sports Hall of Fame series. Redin coached the Wayland Baptist Pioneers (men) from 1946-57, and the Hutcherson Flying Queens of Wayland Baptist (women) to a 431-66 record and six National AAU Championships. He set a record with a 131 game winning streak. Redin coached 36 athletes who won a total of 65 All-America Awards. Thirty-two of his women players played on national teams. He also coached the U.S. to two Gold Medals in the Pan-American Games. Redin is named as one of Sports Illustrated 50 Greatest Sports Figures of Texas.

Only 150 limited edition prints and 15 artist proofs were produced from artwork by Robert Hurst, the Official Artist to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. The edition was signed by Redin at his Texas Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony February 9, 2005. A certificate of authenticity is included with the print along with a photo of Redin signing. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
