Yes, we guarantee all autographs. In most cases the artist, Robert Hurst, has obtained the autographs personally. Whenever possible, a photo of the athlete will be taken during the signing. You will receive with your autographed artwork a copy of this photo along with a Certificate of Authenticity.

What utensils are used to autograph artwork?
Pencil is one of the accepted methods of signing fine art prints and is appreciated by collectors because of its non-fading properties. Pencil, however, is only an option on prints surrounded by white borders. Paint pens are often used when the artwork is signed on the image and for original artwork. Silver and gold are the artist Robert Hurst’s personal favorites. Sharpies are also commonly used, however, be careful with direct sunlight as the signature may fade over time.

Yes, if you have an idea for an original painting please let us know. Artist Robert Hurst would be happy to work with you to create a special piece just for you. Individuals and businesses commission over half of the original paintings Hurst sells. Commissions require a 25% non-refundable deposit, and usually need a lead-time of approximately 60 days. If you have a target date, like and a birthday or other special occasion, Hurst will do his best to accommodate it. E-mail or call us to get started today or for further information.

Do you have a printed catalog?
No, we do not print a catalog. Because our selection is growing all the time a printed catalog would be inefficient. We are committed to updating our web site as often as possible to bring you the latest availability. Giclee (jhee-clay) is derived from the French word “gicleur”, which means “spray of ink”. A Giclee is a fine art print utilizing computers and high-end printers. Giclees are the highest quality reproductions being made today and are the closest thing you can get to an original. The giclee process begins with a detailed scan of the original artwork. Then, using state-of-the-art printers, millions of droplets of ink per second are sprayed onto archival paper or canvas. Supervising the process are highly trained technicians and professional colorist. While the giclee process is expensive the results are unparalleled.
